Jason Morningstar is a game designer who lives and works in Durham, North Carolina, USA. Those standards are, as the Colonel put it so succinctly, “Fair play and a square deal”. Our goal from the beginning was to offer materials that live up to the standards set by our guide and inspiration, the late Colonel Theodore Roosevelt. Historyīully Pulpit Games created by Steve Segedy, Jason Morningstar, and Patrick Murphy in 2005 because we wanted to share our work with a broader audience, promote independent gaming, and fund our various projects. Our live action games, like JUGGERNAUT and WINTERHORN, throw players into impossible situations and confront them with deliciously difficult choices, all while defying the “larp” stereotype with crisp, self-driven games that reach a satisfying conclusion in a couple of hours. ![]() Our historical games, like Grey Ranks ( Diana Jones Award 2008) and Night Witches ( Indie Game of the Year 2015), shine spotlights onto little-known stories at the fringes of popular narratives, and allow players to experience the joy and terror of bold lives full of contemporary resonance.
